For our second meeting back at the Wheatsheaf, Timothy Eyre will talk to us about The Japanese Language: Dr Eyre will describe the salient features of a tongue that is not as impenetrable as one might imagine. He will contrast Japanese grammar with that of English and provide some insight into the notorious writing system.
