The time approaches for the Club's just-before-Christmas final gathering, traditionally the annual opportunity to find out if Lord Mendrick is still alive. (And on this occasion I do know that he will be coming. Unless he dies between then and now.)
The venue is the picturesque Rising Sun on Cloth Fair, just off Smithfield meat market. In the past we have been able to secure the upstairs room, but last year it was fully booked with diners, which I suspect will be the case again, so we'll probably be hanging around downstairs.
Food is served until 8.30pm for those wishing to line their stomachs.
