Our speaker will be Luca Jellinek, talking about the architect and design theorist Christopher Alexander. He says: “Christopher Alexander and the Nature of Order (hint: it’s not ‘orderly’). C. Alexander (passed away in March) was possibly the most influential architectural theoretician (as well as actual architect) you’ve never heard of. I will briefly outline his oeuvre and at the same time teach you five things guaranteed to make any mainstream architect apoplectic.”
