Steam-Up at the London Museum of Water and Steam

  • London Museum of Water and Steam Green Dragon Lane Brentford, England, TW8 0EN United Kingdom (map)

Mr Ian White is organising a club trip between Christmas and New Year to experience a steam-up (oo-er). This from the website: "Discover the fascinating world of water and steam at our Steam Ups! Share in the history and energy of the Kew Bridge Waterworks and marvel at the amazing working pumping engines that helped make London the city it is today." Glean more at https://waterandsteam.org.uk.

Ian proposes to meet at 12.45 in the ticket hall. After the steam-up at 1pm, he invites you to repair to the Black Dog pub a 15-minute walk away, or the Express Tavern by Kew Bridge Station.

He also adds, "Dress: Victorian workwear/Fred Dibnah/donkey jackets, flat caps, boiler suits etc."
