The Candlelight Club is an award-winning clandestine pop-up 1920s speakeasy, in a secret London venue lit by candles. Each event offers live period jazz bands and vintage vinylism for your dancing pleasure, plus a dining options, cocktails bars and more.

No one liked a fancy dress party more than the racy Jazz Age crowd, so where better to celebrate the spooky season that our elegantly eerie ball? Judging by photos and fashion plates from the time, the 1920s idea of a Halloween costume was more about glamour than gore, so if you’re looking for a more refined seasonal soirée, head our way.

Leading the revels will be Ghost With the Most, Champagne Charlie, with a demonic ditty and a cabaret swagger, introducing uncanny burlesque from that mystery of the East, Suri Sumatra. American songbird Elise Roth and her band the High Spirits will be proving the Devil has all the best tunes, while mellifluous witches the Bees Knees will be spinning platters by long-dead artists. There will also be a pop-up vintage jewellery store, a fortune teller and a sketch artist to capture you in your fiendish finery, all in a shadowy hall filled with our famous jack-o’-lanterns.

Elise Roth and her High Spirits

Our venue will be a historic mansion in south London with its own ballroom. You can come just for drinks and dancing but you can also reserve a table with Champagne, or book the three-course dinner. There’s even an inclusive-drinks option. Ticket-holders receive an email two days before revealing the secret location (which is close to a tube station). So pull on your flapper dress and get ready to Charleston your way to the Witching Hour…

"The closest you'll find to an authentic Jazz Age experience in central London. Its unique ambience, fuelled by hundreds of candles, is truly a scene to behold." —Time Out
