Massive Steampunk festival taking place in various venues across Lincoln. For details over everything that is going on see https://www.ministryofsteampunk.com/weekend-at-the-asylum-lincoln but here are some details about the evening events:

The evening events this year wil be held at The County Assembly Rooms (Thursday through to Monday evenings), The Venue at BGU (Friday to Sunday), The Drill (Friday night) and The Engine Shed (Saturday and Sunday nights). 

As usual, evening festivities will begin with the Advance Guard Party which will be held at the Assembly Rooms; if you come to the Advance Guard you will be able to collect your wristbands in advance of the main event opening on Friday. The evening will also include a very special performance by the awesome Simply Kate Bush.

On Friday evening you have the choice of The DecoDance at The Drill,  Lady Elsie's Fashion Show at the Assembly Rooms or you can see Marc Burrows perform his live show The Magic of Terry Prachett complemented by a magical performance by Dr Corvus Marconi.

Saturday night you have another three events to choose from - The Impire Ball at the Engine Shed, Pirates Ahoy! at The County Assembly Rooms with The Antipoet and The Captain's Beard and a screening of Dr Who and the Daleks at The Venue.

Sunday night's choices are the 'Time Travellers' music gig at the Engine Shed , the Asylum Burlesque show at The Venue and a new feature for this year, which will be an Open Mic Night at the County Assembly Rooms, . 

Finally, for those who don't want to go home after the closing ceremony on Monday afternoon, Monday evening will be the traditional Dead Dog Party at the Assembly Rooms.
